Black Diamond Show Playlist for June 21, 2010 (WNHU [88.7 FM, West Haven, CT, www.wnhu.net])

This week, as threatened, we include tracks from David Grisman and from a collaboration between Norman Blake & Peter Ostroushko -- more mandolin players who play better than ol' Mandorichard! I really like the old, old version of "Pig at Home in the Pen" from the Arthur Smith Trio. Hope you do, too. For me, the absolute highlight of the show is the Lonesome Pine Fiddlers playing and singing "No Curb Service"--takes me back to those late night sessions in Columbia, MO back in the late '70s and early '80s. . . . "Don't blink your lights/Don't blow your horn/I hate the day that your were born/There's no curb service anymore!"

As always, thanks for your support--heard this week from listeners in TN, PA, and MD!
